Drain Cleaning

Drain Cleaning.jpg

There are many signs that a drain is clogging or building up with toilet paper, hair, and soap scum. The toilet may be flushing slowly, a shower may have standing water or you may hear gurgling in one bathroom while using another. If you fear you may have a clog, do not continue to run dishwashers and washing machines. Our professionals can remove drain clogs safely. Homeowners may try toilet and drain “snakes” on these clogs and this can scratch the porcelain. We’ll use our powerful cable machines to break up clogs and get your home running smoothly again.

We can remove a toilet if needed, and then cable the drain to unclog the line. We can also run a camera down a drain to look for other issues that could have caused the clog. Items such as “Drain-o” are more of a preventative item. In most situations, this chemical will not help once the line is clogged.

Outside Cleanout

This photo shows a clean out with a black plug (the lid on top), but most are white. This can be found in the front, back, or any side of your home. You can find them in flower beds or in the grass. In some situations, the outside clean out may be covered and unable to be found. The outside cleanout can be used to help clear a clog found between the home and the city sewer. Our plumber will use his drain cleaning machine to snake through the top of the cleanout and run cable out to the city sewer. A multitude of things can be found clogging this line with the most common item being tree roots. Just remember not to flush anything except human waste and toilet paper.
